Acts of Congress - Monolog Cabin
Monolog Cabin. Real writers. Real funny.
This is our first “MANolog Night.” Each of our all-new monologs will be performed by a member of America’s most underacknowledged minority.
All pieces will be followed by a short Q&A with the writer/performer, hosted by comedian Robert Mac.
Our first show since May features all-new work from Monolog Cabin regulars:
Screenwriter Steve Barancik
Writer/book-buyer Sean Murphy
Comedian/librarian Mike Sterner
The Cabin will also be rejoined by our former emcee, Paul Fisher, as well as a super secret special guest. Or two.
As per usual, our director will be writer/curator Faitha Lowe-Bailey.
Emcee (and interviewer) Robert Mac is the perfect complement to The Cabin’s format of irreverent and highly revealing first person comedic essays and short stories.
Featured Monologs:
My First Groupie
You People Must Really Be Proud of Barbara Streisand
The Curious Case of Dumbo, the Demented Ventriloquist’s Dummy
Who Killed Bob Crane
Monolog Cabin is now a regular part of the Club Congress’s new ACTS OF CONGRESS, a rotating showcase on the first Saturday of each month featuring Odyssey, Monolog Cabin, the Comedy Fiasco, and occasional special shows.
Tickets : $7
Doors open at: 6:30pm; 7pm showtime
