STAN RIDGWAY presents
Wall Of Voodoo’s “Call Of The West”
~ wov & solo hits ~
Former Wall of Voodoo frontman/genius Stan Ridgway has one of the cultiest of cult followings in singer/songwriterland today, and he’s still doing that voodoo that he does so well. Wall of Voodoo was much more than “Mexican Radio,” and Ridgway was the tortured innovator behind one of the best almost-new wave records of that era: Call of the West. It’s considered required listening for any discriminating pop fan, and represents an amazing time in music — synthesizers and rock and great little lyrical yarns to drive it all home. Tonight he performs hits from that timeless record and shares some of his signature uncompromising sonic solo experimentation. Surreal? Check. Dreamlike? Check. A true original!
