The Von Bondies rode that buzzwave a couple years ago and landed on an island of solid-as-heck rock n roll. Back on the road with a pristine new album that shows off why there are people still turning heads in their directions. They’ve got a new album: “Love, Hate and Then There’s You.” Go to the myspace and check the song I Don’t Wanna.

Oh yeah, and here’s probably the best song ever to be used for a TV intro:

DIE! DIE! DIE!

Ain’t New Zealand like, the new Canada? Serious. Check out all the new bands coming out of Australia’s little brother. It’s like after the Lord of the Rings got filmed there, everyone held a nationwide town meeting and were like, “hey guys, let’s all be amazing at everything.” The next thing you know, Flight of the Conchords are on HBO and Lucy Lawless came back as a cylon.

Well, the buzz for these guys isn’t without warrant; as a matter of a factoid, check out some of their jams on their MySpace!

Rounding out the rock night for this show is local greats The Deludes!

Voted Best Band (tying International artists Calexico) in 2007’s TAMMIE Awards, The Deludes have had an eventful banner year. With successful mini-tours, a new drummer (formerly of The Beta Sweat, the Tucson Weekly’s official 2006 SXSW-sponsored band) and a new CD, Sedation Nation (Mudhouse Records), that helped gain the attention of hip ad execs leading to the use of one of the trio’s songs for a national fast food chain. Though stellar on record, The Deludes’ tight power-pop-rock must be seen live.
