In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, we are proud to present the following show, a double-bill including nationally critically acclaimed vocalist Salvador Duran and Tucson-based flamenco ensemble Tesoro on “TRES DE MAYO.”

The eclectic evening will feature DJ music, flamenco dancer Daniela Mouw, surprise guests and more.

Tesoro is BACK! We once boldly said that flamenco will never be the same…and it’s true. It hasn’t for a long time, when bands like The Gipsy Kings parlayed their mastery of it into pop stardom. Thanks to them, the boundaries of this kind of music have broadened considerably, accommodating artists like Ottmar Liebert and other pioneers of the new “flamenco fusion” sound. Add young Tesoro to this list. They’re that good. Luckily, for now anyway, Tucson is still their home.
