Rock Paper Scissors has and will always be the ultimate battle of the wits. A two player game that places any opponent equally in the hands of fate and skill. This is a intense, no survivors, winner takes all event. Watch the human drama unfold as amateurs battle seasoned veterans, laying their pride and chance to go to vegas to national championship on one of three throws.
Lets go through the rooster of the main players of Rock-Paper-Scissors:
Rock - Power, Strength, Aggression, Nature
The most elemental of the throws, it often conjures up thoughts of smashing things and being hard. The obvious choice for most novices who wish to display immediate dominance in a forceful way. “Such a powerful move must be used with discipline” warns most experts, “most Ro Sham Bo injuries are a result of his move being executed improperly”. When it victors against the scissors it is almost a primal expression of dominance over the complexity and fragility of modern technology. When the rock is defeated by the paper, we are reminded that the weakness that lies in its inability to move or change. A lying rock is defenseless against the sheath of a simple piece of paper.
Paper - Passivity, Stealth, Wisdom (money sometimes as well), Literacy
From papyrus and parchment, paper has evolved with technology. While physically it is nothing more than a thin sheet, the words inscribed on it hold power beyond anything before it. Deceptive in its apparent thinness, its build gives it quite the advantage when up against stronger, slower moving ;throws like the Rock. The judo of the throws, paper uses it opponents momentum to disarm it and subdue it. A highly effective technique against Rock, but it always victim to the sharp construction of the highly advanced Scissor throw.
Scissors - Deviousness, Ingenuity, Evil, Technology
The most complex of the three throws, Scissors is the clouded assassin in the night. Consisting of two pivoted blades, each called a scissor, it uses a simple but powerful lever technique with the pivot acting as the fulcrum. The fulcrum is the only known weakness of Scissors. Invented by the Egyptians, adopted by the ruthless Romans and perfected by the 17th century English as a instrument to portion out countries from maps for their empire, the history behind the scissor is stained with ink and blood. While Scissors could cut their ways through the letters of man, it stands defenseless against the brute elemental power of the Rock. Scissors reflects a sophisticated approach to destroying, but falls short dominating of the brute animalistic nature of the rock throw.
