Another believer in creating a show around music, Tally Hall has been backing up their music with a little dabble in short films that can be described as ” humorous.” Tally Hall has been busting heads since 2002, they have been featured on MTV, The OC and mtvU (that’s the MTV that shows these little antiquated things called music videos, it’s like… YouTube or Pitchforktv on cable).

DE NOVO DAHL

Okay, first things first, what does “De Novo Dahl” mean? Well, according to our in-house linguist, De Novo means “again, but in a different way” and sorta like a lazy way of speaking called “Latin.” Well, its obvious that Dahl is a reference to Roald Dahl because, well… we like Roald Dahl here, unless of course you’re an Indian food connoisseur — then it’s another word for lentils. Either way, it’s a new and exciting way to enjoy something you already really enjoy. Second thing, what do they sound like? Eclectic psych-pop from a group that has studied the craft of writing a catchy tune and adding splashes of insane creativity.

Low Vs Diamond is rounding out the touring support for this *amazing* show.

 

The LA-based band has also been featured on The OC and is signed to the same UK record label as The Killers. After a couple EPs, they are set to release their self-titled debut album this month. Expect a lot from these guys in the coming months.

Also, who ever said three is enough!? Giving this show an extra added shot of awesomeness is local upstart Geoffrey J, bringing his crew in to rep the 520 style.
