The venerable Tap Room, located inside Club Congress, has been open continuously since 1919. A longtime haven for artists, musicians, and those that are both (or neither), the Tap Room is a microcosm of all the things that make a bar special.

Colorful regulars? The Tap is “awash” in ‘em. Interesting art? Ever since famed “cowboy artist” Pete Martinez held court in the ’30s and ’40s, the Tap has been the drinking man’s Louvre; that is, if it featured only one artist. Broad selection of booze? You bet your Ouzo.

Combine these features with satellite TV and the perennial “Best Jukebox” in town, and you have the one and only Tap Room.
