TALKing ABOUT TUCSON means TALKING ABOUT FOOD

In fact, Tucson is recognized as one of only two cities in the United States named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy!

Hotel Congress has some of the most beloved local dining spots in the city. The Cup Cafe has been in operation since 1990 and has been a downtown staple ever since. The Cup is consistently awarded Tucson’s “Best of” awards for its comfortable and quaint atmosphere and its amazing twists on popular dishes. The dessert carousel is a marvel to behold and is worth the trip in its own right.

Maynards, located at the old Tucson train depot, is a more elevated dining experience but still feels familiar and warm. The crew at Maynards creates dishes from a “culinary collective,” which allows the strengths of several different chefs to shine. Maynards serves upscale comfort food made with the finest ingredients to make the evening memorable. The dining room is cozy, and trains still rumble along just on the other side of the spacious patio.

There is also a wine bar and bottle shop at Maynards, which serves light bites, wine, and cocktails, as well as delicious charcuterie boards, gifts, and desserts.

For even more options, grab a bite and drink at The Lounge or a burrito to die for from our Plaza Eats food truck.

Come and enjoy the numerous dining options at Hotel Congress. And while you’re at it, see a show and stay awhile. You can’t beat it for a quintessential Tucson experience.
